Nareit Foundation Awards $180,000 Grant to Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation to Build New, Affordable Home in Puna District

Around this time next year, a family will be moving into a new, affordable home in Keaau provided by the nonprofit Hawaii Island Community Development Corporation (HICDC) and built using a $180,000 grant from the Nareit Foundation.

REITs Give Back to Hawaii

Since 2018, the Nareit Foundation and Nareit Hawaii have awarded $2.2 million in grants to 26 nonprofit organizations statewide to support affordable housing projects and community charities. Nareit Hawaii grant provides clean water for families at Kahauiki Village

The Nareit Foundation gave more than $72,000 to the Institute of Human Services to pay for new water pump equipment serving all 144 units at Kahauiki Village.

Nareit Foundation Presents $72,548 Grant to Institute for Human Services to Improve Quality of Life for Residents at Kahauiki Village

The Nareit Foundation presented a grant of $72,548 to the Institute for Human Services (IHS) that will be utilized to improve the water utility services for the 144 affordable housing units at Kahauiki Village. This project will enhance water utility services for 129 families, 568 residents living in 144 affordable housing units.

Program Provides Support For Keiki Across The Island

Nareit Hawai‘i presented a $30,000 grant to Boys & Girls Club of Hawai‘i for its Great Futures for Keiki program. The funding will support children in after-school enrichment programs, as well as bolster food nourishment efforts.
