Nareit Hawaii Awards $30,000 Grant to Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center to Support its Bayanihan Feeding Program
Nareit Hawaii awarded a $30,000 grant to the Binhi At Ani Filipino Community Center to support the expansion of its Bayanihan Feeding Program, the beneficiaries of which are seniors on fixed incomes who have free meals prepared and delivered to them at home.
The construction site of a developing single-family dwelling was the site where Nareit Hawaii Community Giving Initiative turned over $130,000 to the Kaua‘i Housing Development Corporation to help with the building of the house being done under the affordable housing designation by the county’s Housing Agency.
Nareit Hawaii has bolstered its support of the FilCom CARES COVID vaccination program with a $10,000 donation to provide booster shots and further protect community members of all ages from getting sick due to the pandemic. In April 2021, Nareit Hawaii donated $50,000 to support the expansion of the FilCom CARES vaccination program to communities statewide.
In recognition of the essential family-centered programs provided daily by Parents And Children Together (PACT) to improve the lives and futures of Hawaii’s most vulnerable population, Nareit Hawaii has donated $30,000 to support its public outreach.
Nareit Hawaiʻi donated $20,000 to support the Maui Food Bank’s Aloha BackPack Buddies program, which provides healthy meals to students in need of hunger relief. In 2022, the program will serve 21 schools on Maui and Molokaʻi. About 15,000 backpacks containing six healthy meals each, for a total of more than 90,000 meals, will be distributed to children in need.
Inspired by the daily efforts of the Boys & Girls Club of the Big Island to improve the lives and future for children and families in need, Nareit Hawaii has donated $25,000 to support the continuation of their programs.
